THE ROLE

An exciting new opportunity exists for a Branch Coordinator to join the Office of the Executive Director, Strategic Planning and Intergovernmental Relations.

 

Reporting to the Executive Director and working as part of a busy, high performing branch, the Branch Coordinator will ensure the branch runs efficiently by providing high-level coordination support and process advice to the Executive Director and the wider branch. The Branch Coordinator will also maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the branch, division and wider department.

 

This role suits a person who is a proactive and highly organised self-starter with an ability to work in a complex, sensitive and fast‑paced environment. The role also requires high levels of adaptability and a commitment to collaboration and contributing to a professional and supportive work environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Drive continuous improvement in the Office of the Executive Director and branch by leading a range of strategic and administrative projects. Administrative projects include developing and implementing guidelines to improve work practices and processes.
  • Respond to queries and information requests, provide high-quality and timely information and authoritative advice, and take follow up action as required. This includes operating confidentially, with discretion and with a high level of integrity and autonomy, and allocating issues for resolution to managers, directors and the Executive Director.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director including calendar management as needed.
