Business Services Manager

Annual Salary Range $127,467 - $170,579 per annum plus superannuation

About the Team

People and Business Services is a Group within the Department of Transport and is responsible for delivering business, governance, regulatory operations, people and culture and parliamentary services, in an integrated manner to meet future challenges and enable effective decision making.

About the Opportunity

This fantastic ongoing opportunity is responsible for managing a broad range corporate activities and obligations such as records and document management, business systems, reporting, risk management, business planning and financial management and monitoring and business continuity

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage a range of corporate activities including budget and financial management and reporting, records and document management, purchasing and procurement, business planning, risk management, local IT systems support, and occupational health and safety
  • Manage, develop and implement business systems and procedures which contribute to maximising business deliverables and outcomes
  • Manage the group's compliance with corporate and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience and abilities in developing and managing a range of business and corporate services, such as ministerial coordination, financial management, records management, business planning, budget management and monitoring.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary business management and planning processes, such as finance, information technology, risk management and records management
  • Highly developed written and project management skills

A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business administration or a related field would be an advantage
