 About the branch

Northern Region forms part of the Operations Division and is responsible for the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services. On-ground works and services will conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and support fire and emergency management. Regional resources will support environmental, social and economic outcomes for rural, regional and urban communities. Service delivery is managed and delivered within the demands of the Region's Annual Plan, the requirements of the Division's statewide fire and emergency role and in partnership with community and government agencies.

Northern Victoria consists of a diverse range of parks and reserves including the districts of North Central, Northern Rivers and North West.  Each of the three districts supports a team of rangers. Staff working within the Regional Operations Team work alongside and support the districts and the BSA has a key role in coordinating activities between the Regional Operations Team and districts.

About the role and your responsibilities:  

As the Business Support Administrator (BSA) you will provide administrative and transactional support to the Northern Regional Operations team. You will perform tasks such as data entry and management, reimbursements, training, record management, corporate requests and audits, calendar management and event bookings, preparation of minutes, reports and other correspondence, and the collation and processing of forms and approvals.

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • Experience as an effective member of an administration or business support team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficient use of relevant software applications including MS Office and general computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • A current Employee Working with Children check is required.
