We currently have an opportunity for a suitably qualified cardiac sonographer to join our busy and innovative Echocardiography Program.  Full Time Position preferred but consideration given to applicants for a part time position.


About the Role


MonashHeart is looking for a cardiac sonographer/advanced trainee sonographer to join the Non Invasive Cardiology Echo program. Applicants will be required to work shifts per the roster at any of the MonashHeart echo clinics. Consideration will be given to both part-time and full time applicants.


Ideal candidates should have:



  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to liaise with hospital personnel, private referrers, contracted agencies, clients and family members.

  • Full  accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry [ASAR] is a mandatory requirement for a Grade 3 Sonographer position or Student Accreditation with ASAR.

  • Demonstrate autonomy or minimal requirements for supervision and a high standard of clinical reasoning skills in the performance of echocardiography procedures.

  • Evidence of participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs.
