Mental Health Clinician/Case Manager

 Opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RPN3), Clinical Psychologist (G2), Social Worker (G2) or Occupational Therapist (G2).

  •  Permanent Full-Time position (part-time opportunities also considered)

 About the role

 An opportunity exists within the Adult Community Mental Health Services in the Maroondah Continuing Care Team for passionate, enthusiastic & experienced mental health clinicians with sound clinical knowledge and mental health experience.

 The roles will partner with consumers, carers, families and other service providers to provide high-quality case management and discipline-specific mental health assessment, treatment, consultation and community linkage services within a recovery-oriented framework. This position will be at our clinic in Ringwood East,  providing centre-based and outreach services.

  About you:

 To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

  •  Qualifications and experience as specified in the position description, either as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with appropriate registration.
  • Experience in mental health practice and discipline-specific practices.
  • Demonstrated work experience in mental health.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide mental health assessments and interventions for consumers and their carers individually and in groups utilising a case management model.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards reaching personal recovery goals. 
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A solid commitment to high-quality care.
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
  • Flexible and agile in responding to operational and clinical challenges and complexity, focusing on supporting consumers and their families/carers to address their goals in their recovery journey.
