Mental Health Clinician/Case Manager

Opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RPN3), Clinical Psychologist (G2), Social Worker (G2) or Occupational Therapist (G2).

  • $84k – 107k, depending on qualifications and experience
  • Permanent Full-Time position (part-time opportunities also considered)

About the role

An opportunity exists within the Adult Community Mental Health Services in the Waverley Continuing Care Team for passionate, enthusiastic & experienced mental health clinicians with sound clinical knowledge and mental health experience.

The role will partner with consumers, carers, families and other service providers to provide high-quality case management and discipline-specific mental health assessment, treatment, consultation and community linkage services within a recovery-oriented framework.

This position will be based at our fabulous new Forest Hill facility. Its an exciting time to join one of the biggest public clinical mental health services in Victoria as we transform service delivery implementing the recommendations from the Royal Commission.

About you:

 To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

 Qualifications and experience as specified in the position description, either as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with appropriate registration.

  • Experience in mental health practice and discipline-specific practices.Demonstrated ability to provide mental health assessments and interventions for consumers and their carers individually and in groups utilising a case management model.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards reaching personal recovery goals.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A solid commitment to high-quality care.
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
  • Flexible and agile in responding to operational and clinical challenges and complexity, focusing on supporting consumers and their families/carers to address their goals in their recovery journey.
