Hiring: Case Manager

  • Located in Seymour
  • Permanent Part Time (64 hours per fortnight)
  • $20,000 incentive payment applies for eligible successful candidates

The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.

The regional mental health workforce incentive grants will support the attraction, recruitment, and retention of new workers to priority positions across state funded mental health services in rural and regional Victoria. About the role

The Aged Psychiatric Assessment & Treatment Team is seeking a mental health case manager to join our team and work in the Seymour area. The Case Managers role is to work productively with all team members to provide a high standard of psychiatric assessment and case management for aged consumers living in the community. The Case Manager is responsible for providing assessment and treatment of aged clients who have a chronic or acute mental health illness in the community. The position requires a broad based experience, knowledge and expertise in aged mental health with a thorough understanding of current treatment approaches and practice.

We are looking for

  • AHPRA Registration as either a Registered Nurse, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or eligibility for membership of relevant allied health professional association
  • Demonstrated competence in community based mental health assessments and case management
  • Applicants must have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014
  • Well developed time management & problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a range of individual and group interventions for people with mental health problems.
