About the role:


A part- time opportunity exists within the Adult Community Mental Health Services for a passionate and enthusiastic mental health experienced clinician with sound clinical knowledge and mental health experience.


The role will work in partnership with consumers, carers, families and other service providers in order to provide high quality case management and discipline specific mental health assessment, treatment, consultation and community linkage services within a recovery-oriented framework. You will have the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment. This position will be  based at our clinic in Box Hill, close proximity to Box Hill Central and provides both centre based and outreach services.



About You: 


To be successful in this role you should possess:



  • Qualifications and registration, as specified in the position description

  • Experience in community mental health practice including case management and discipline specific practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide mental health assessments and interventions for consumers and their carers individually and/or in groups utilising a case management model.

  • Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support with a focus on working collaboratively with consumers and carers to promote self-determination and enable progress towards reaching personal recovery goals. 

  • Well - developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills

  • A strong commitment to high quality care

  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Flexible and agile in responding to the operational and clinical challenges and complexity with a focus on supporting consumers and their family/carers to address their goals in their recovery journey.
