An opportunity has arisen in the Financial Services Division for a experienced Cash Management Officer. The Financial Services Division is responsible for designing and implementing financial management principles, processes and systems to ensure that the Department and its managers in central office, regions, schools and statutory authorities have the necessary support to execute their financial management responsibilities.

This position plays a critical role in managing the Department's cash management ledger, compliance with the Department of Treasury Finance's rules and regulations regarding bank accounts, compliance with the Financial Management Act 1994 and the Australian Accounting Standards and responsible for managing the Departments Cash Flow and reporting to the Department of Treasury and Finance.

The role requires an exceptional understanding of the rules and regulations of State Government cash management and requires an ability to interpret legislation to ensure compliance with the Financial Management Act 1994, the associated regulations and government rules and principles.

The roles key stakeholder is the Department of Treasury and Finance, Treasury Corporation Victoria and the Victorian Auditor General's Office.
