About the units

Emergency Mental Health

Our multidisciplinary Emergency Mental Health (EMH) unit provides assessment and treatment across the Hospital Emergency Department and PACER teams, and is often the first point of access for our mental health consumers. Our EMH unit is forward thinking, supports and drives change, whilst always actively looking for ways to make improvements. Phone Triage

Our aim is to provide timely and effective phone based assessment to triage the mental health and/or drug and alcohol needs of consumers and their families. Referrals come from consumers, carers or other stakeholders calling in via a central intake phone number.
