About acute adult inpatient services

Eastern Health provides acute inpatient services for adolescents, adults, and aged persons. We strive to provide a calming environment with quiet spaces and sunny, leafy courtyards for our clients. We work closely with allied health professionals and multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate individualised treatment plans. Our staff and leadership teams are passionate about providing excellent client-centred care and embrace the Safewards Model. We also work to the Clinical Risk Assessment and Management (CRAM) policy and standards.

About nurse bank

When you join nurse bank at Eastern Health you will be supported to find your feet. You’ll have full access to our extensive online learning platform, enabling you to further expand your skills and knowledge. Our acute inpatient units are staffed 24/7. We will provide as much lead time as possible to offer morning, afternoon and night duty shifts that match your availability.

About you

You are dedicated, empathetic and adaptable. You understand, and are interested in, the complex and varied needs of clients in the acute inpatient setting. To be successful in this role you should possess:

  • Ability to work independently and be team focused

  • Current, condition-free registration with AHPRA 

  • Post Graduate qualifications in mental health nursing will be highly regarded

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

  • A strong commitment to high quality care

  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Excellent organisational skills
