We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Melbourne Health Bank team. This is a Casual position, based at our City and Royal Park Campus.





Your Opportunity:



Melbourne Health Bank provides a flexible career option for Registered Nurses to work across multiple departments at Melbourne Health. Shifts are managed by Melbourne Health Bank and allocated according to organisational need and your nursing experience, knowledge and skills. Melbourne Health’s clinical areas range from Speciality areas such as ICU and Emergency, Acute, Subacute and Residential Care.





Casual Registered Nurses work under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager and liaise with Melbourne Health Bank staff, Nursing Education, MH Multidisciplinary Teams, Parkville Precinct Partners, consumers and carers of consumers.





As a Casual Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:




  • Clinical Governance; providing patients and the community safe, timely, effective, person-centred health care (STEP) 

  • Maintaining a high standard of care; demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills relevant to your level of expertise 

  • Delivering patient centred care; providing high quality of patient care by performing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with the patient, carer and the  multidisciplinary team

  • Maintaining health and safety standards; managing risk and actively working towards implementing risk reduction strategies

  • Speaking up for Safey; raising concerns about safety in a respectful manner









About You:




  • Formal Qualifications:



  •   Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery  Board of Australia

  •  Currently inviting Critical Care Registered Nurses with relevant post graduate qualification in  ED, ICU, CCU and PACU




  • Essential:






  • 12 months post- graduate experience in an acute setting 

  •  Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team

  •  Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care

  •  Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills

  •  High motivation and willingness to learn

  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  •  High level of reliability and professional conduct

  •  12 month post-graduate experience
