POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief Risk and Audit Officer provides leadership and guidance to a skilled team who provide expert analysis in identifying trends, issues and risks for the department, supports the operation of the department's Audit and Risk Committee and manages the department's internal audit program and VAGO relationship.

The role also oversees the delivery of departmental, state and national performance reporting requirements by connecting with areas across the department to position such reporting so that it provides the compelling narrative for decision makers on the on the current delivery and impact of the department's activities and the opportunities for improvement.
