Are you a recent graduate or a final year student studying either a degree or diploma in social work, psychology or welfare? Here's an opportunity to earn while you learn in paid employment from June 2021 through to December 2021.

With a minimum of 3 days per week, our VAC program gives recent graduates and university students who will be graduating in 2021, 450 hours (full time or part time), paid work experience. This successful and innovative program will expose students to a breadth of quality learning experiences relevant to the Victorian Child Protection Program.

Position Summary:

Participants of the VAC Program are social work, psychology or welfare related degree or diploma students who have recently graduated or are expected to graduate in 2021.  The VAC employees will participate in a structured paid program which will provide a breadth of quality learning experiences and tasks relevant to the Victorian child protection program whilst engaging in ‘real work' that will add value to our team.

Case practice support workers work within a team to provide a range of case support tasks for clients within the Child Protection program. The tasks include, but are not limited to, supervising access visits between children and their families where there are safety or risk issues present, transporting children to services and providing in home support to families.

Skills and Experience:

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Child Protection Program is seeking highly motivated recent graduates or final year students studying social work, psychology or welfare related degrees or diplomas to join the Program.

Salary range: $56,136 (pro rata)

Location: Various – Metropolitan and Regional Offices
