With more than 8,000 employees, Ambulance Victoria is a diverse workforce that requires an experienced Claims Coordinator for the management of workplace injury and compensation claims to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery to AV's employees. This twelve-month, fixed term position based in Doncaster, with current work from home arrangements and potential hybrid arrangements in the future, will have you engaging in a wide variety of tasks associated with the coordination of Return To Work plans for AV's employees.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior People Partner for HUB 1 in the People and Culture division, the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

• Regularly monitoring and reporting on the implementation of organisational plans and related KPI's
• Application of RTW program objectives across administrative and service delivery tasks including calculation of Pre-Injury Average Weekly Income, compensation payments and database management
• Preparing sensitive materials for briefing internal and external stakeholders
• Communication of professional and technical advice to staff, peers, managers and providers using the appropriate medium for communication and addressing the needs of different audiences and different situations
• Provision of input into the development, evaluation and implementation of AV's injury & Claims Management policy
• Active participation in safety culture change initiatives and projects
• Regular engagement with injured employees and line managers on workers compensation service provision to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational requirements

About you

Ambulance Victoria is seeking a highly motivated individual with relevant and demonstrated experience in the administration of WorkCover claims including pay calculations. This should be supported by a relevant qualification. Alongside this qualification,

• Working knowledge of worker's compensation legislation and relevant practices
• Proven experience in using computerised claims management, financial/management information systems, including MS Office suite.
• Highly developed communication skills, analytical problem-solving skills and a high degree of organisation
• Ability to work as a part of a team and autonomously is vital to ensure efficiency in this busy department
• Strict confidentiality is to be maintained at all times.

The position is graded at AV3.The AV grade salary range for AV3 $79,172 to $84,0411 plus 10% superannuation. Salary on commencement is offered at the base of the AV grade.
