The Emergency Psychiatric Services (EPS) is component of ACIS which includes (CATT) Hospital in the Home, PARCS providing service across the Dandenong Catchment area.


About The Role


We are seeking a Senior Registered Nurse for the Clinical Co-Ordinator. The successful applicant would work with in partnership with the Consultant Psychiatrist, alongside a multidisciplinary team, under the direction of the ACIS Manager primarily supporting the clinical support, leadership and coordination for EPS.


The Clinical Co-Ordinator will be responsible for ensuring that clinical governance processes are followed and that handovers and clinical review meetings are conducted in an efficient, consistent and purposeful manner, and that outcomes are documented and actioned appropriately. The CC will assist the shift leaders with prioritisation and allocation of workload, ensure processes are in place to support timely decision making and communication within the clinical team and with other stakeholders, and facilitate continuity of communication and clinical care. As a senior clinician, the CC will provide mentoring and supervision for ACIS clinicians, and work with the ACIS Manager to respond to the professional development needs of staff.


This is a full time ongoing position working Monday to Friday


About You


You are a Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse who can demonstrate a firm understanding of recovery orientated practise with ability to maintain long term relationships with clients, developing rapport and gain commitment towards individual outcomes and goals.


You are able to work collaboratively with consultants, clients, families and the wider organisation to deliver a holistic service.  Your passion and innovative mindset to assist in development and contribute towards an ongoing service will see your success in this role. You will also require;



  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence

  • Hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or A specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing qualification or A post basic course of training which led to registration as a Div 3/Clinician Nurse

  • Demonstrated experience post registration that meets the requirements in the position description and demonstrated the appropriate competencies, knowledge and skills and experience in a community setting is essential

  • Experience within dual diagnosis an advantage as well as experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs
