About the role

South West Healthcare's (SWH) Mental Health Directorate is a high performing service providing acute and community mental health clinical expertise. The Way Back Support Service (WBSS) is a non-clinical support service focussed on providing practical psychological support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or attempted suicide. The program is a partnership with Western Victoria Primary Care Network (PNC) and Wellways as the community support service.               

 We are seeking a motivated and skilled clinician (Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Social worker, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist) to join our team. This role will work collaboratively in the multi-disciplinary team to support service delivery, policy development, change management processes, including quality improvement, and implementation of new or changed procedures. A fundamental aim of WBSS is to reduce the risk of suicide (re)attempts following a previous attempt or suicidal crisis referred to as a post-vention model

 The position is part time 48 hours per fortnight position currently funded to June 2022.

Employment Terms and Conditions will be in line with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020, with the appropriate classification Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4, Social Worker Grade 3, Occupational Therapist Grade 3, and Psychologist Grade 3.
