What You Will Be Doing

Peninsula Health Mental Health Service is committed to the principles of Recovery- Orientated Practice. We actively support and encourage consumer and carer participation in all aspects of planning and delivery of mental health services

The Clinical Nurse Consultant will work as part of the 2 West Ward (Acute Adult Inpatient Unit) providing clinical leadership and assisting the NUM and DON in developing, maintaining and evaluating specialist programs.

The role will also contribute towards an appropriately skilled workforce by providing mentoring and role modeling, particularly to junior nurses or recent recruits.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Post Graduate Qualification in Psychiatric / Mental Health nursing or completion of a specialist Undergraduate Psychiatric Nursing Program
• Vast clinical experience and knowledge in Mental Health inpatient care.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain clinical programs
• Demonstrated clinical leadership within mental health with proven ability to mentor and develop the mental health nursing workforce within a coaching framework
