With continued growth, we are currently seeking a highly motivated Nurse Consultant – Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET) to join our supportive and inclusive team.

The Nurse Consultant – NET is an expert practitioner who uses and facilitates evidence- based practice which is visionary, creative and appropriate to the tumour stream/service.

The Nurse Consultant identifies, facilitates, provides and evaluates educational processes to enhance the knowledge and competencies of health professionals and patients within the service.

The successful applicant will predominantly be responsible for supporting patients with Neuroendocrine tumours across all treatment modalities and throughout all aspects of their illness. The nurse consultant also triages new referrals to the service, manages phone calls and emails from patients or family members and works closely with the multidisciplinary team to manage symptoms and side effects.

Successful Applicants will possess:

• A Minimum of 5 years’ experience in oncology nursing at a senior level


• An understanding of and experience with developing evidence-based practice


• Demonstrated involvement in professional activities and organisations e.g. Australian College of Nursing, Cancer Nursing Society of Australia, Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand


• Motivation to delivering a high standard of patient care


• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills


• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously when required


• Commitment to improvement and excellence in the delivery of outcomes
