About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for you to join the nursing education team (NaMES) within Monash Health in a Clinical Nurse Educator role supporting the critical care unit predominately in Intensive Care Clayton but not limited.  Our intensive care unit is a dynamic unit and cares for a wide cohort of critically unwell patients including, neuology, general surgery conditions respiratory, Cardiac and more. We receive patients from all areas of Victoria.  We have a permanent full time  position available due to growth in the team, and expansion of critical services across our organisation.

We require a highly skilled critical care trained nurse with a passion for education.

This role includes:

  • Supporting contemporary education that promotes best practice standards.
  • Clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels novice to expert
  • Demonstrate and promote expertise and best practice standards
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
  • Utilises resources such as the professional development framework to support a flexible and highly skilled workforce.

About You

You are a highly skilled nurse with current well-developed clinical skills and excel in engagement, communication and collaboration within a team environment. You have passion supporting all levels of learners, assist in professional development of the workforce and have current clinical expertise and at the bedside.  You are confident, experienced and are  flexible in  educational delivery adapting to the ever changing environment.  You will have or enrolled and undertaking a  post graduate masters qualifications in critical care /Intensive Care nursing.

You can demonstrate the following:

  • Commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills
  • Current knowledge of patient care strategies and adaptability of the changing clinical environment
  • Strong leadership and  the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to show initiative and work independently when required
  • A well-developed understanding of different teaching and learning styles, and able to demonstrate high quality creation, delivery and evaluation of your teaching via various modalities

 What You Need:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience/education  in Intensive Care Nursing
  • Completion or working towards post graduate masters  qualification in critical care intensive care nursing
