This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy Department at Werribee Mercy Hospital, an expanding public health service that is committed to ensuring high quality, evidence-based, person-centred, safe and effective patient care.  This position will be integral in delivering clinical pharmacy services to our patients and working as part of a multidisciplinary member of the health care team.

  • Grades 1,2,3 Pharmacists (Full Time, Permanent, multiple positions) – dependent on experience
  • We are looking for pharmacists with a strong patient focus to deliver clinical services to our patients at Werribee Mercy Hospital 
  • Clinical pharmacy services: medication reconciliation, dispensing, patient counselling, participation in multidisciplinary meetings & ward rounds.
  • Working in the areas of Women's & Children's Health, Mental Health & Medical wards (including Emergency Department)
  • Provide quality support in pharmacy department, including audits, quality projects, guideline review and practice-based research.
  • Provide education support in pharmacy including supervision of students and interns

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, with current AHPRA registration (including evidence of last 12 months CPD)
  • Community and private hospital experience is recognised
  • Applicants for Grade 2-3 Pharmacists: Prior hospital experience is essential. Post graduate qualifications in clinical pharmacy or management is desirable.
  • Patient focused approach to clinical pharmacy
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Experience in conducting audits, research, education and training
