About the Role


The Women’s & Children’s (W&Cs) Services Paediatric Clinical Practice Improvement Specialist (CPIS) is a role for a professional clinical facilitator who will provide leadership, planning, delivery and implementation of clinical improvement strategies within Paediatric Services in the new Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s at Sunshine Hospital. The role also has a component of Quality with the ability to implement and evaluate clinical improvement strategies in paediatric care.

Essential Skills & Experience



  • Successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent

  • AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife in Australia

  • Effective organisational skills, with respect to time management & delegation

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team

  • Skills and experience to work in an acute paediatric setting

  • Post graduate qualification in paediatric care or equivalent

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people


Desirable



  • Post graduate qualification in project management or working towards same
