Clinical Specialist - child initiative (Child 0-12 - Mental Health)
Permanent - full time
80 Hours per fortnight with monthly ADO

Up to $25,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation to Horsham/Ararat
Up to $15,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation to Ballarat

(Be reimbursed for rent, childcare, school fees, relocation costs and more)

The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.

The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is being administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).

About the role

Grampians Health Ballarat Mental Health Services is a dynamic area mental health service striving to provide the highest standards of treatment for the Ballarat region and local surrounding communities, while maintaining a commitment to a continuously improving clinical environment.

We are currently in the process of undergoing significant service reform with the active involvement and engagement of all staff in the service. Clinicians who undertake a career at Grampians Health will find the role is both challenging and rewarding, with exposure to a wide range of mental health disorders and treatments experienced by young people aged between 0 -12.

Skills and experience

  • Possess a professional qualification in a health-related discipline (Psychology, nursing, social work, occupational therapy).
  • Extensive experience and expert skill in and ongoing commitment to the delivery of evidence- based and best practice, youth friendly, family-inclusive treatments for infants & children 'at risk' of, or presenting with, a significant mental disorder;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of evidence- based treatments and/or best practices.
  • Provide leadership, including developing clinical expertise within the team through mentoring, training, teaching and supervision
