The role will help determine trends in shoreline behaviour, coastal hazard impacts, and drivers of shoreline change across Victoria, to be used for decision making on coastal projects, policy and planning.
Do you have post graduate qualifications in coastal process science, oceanography or geomorphology, and skills in analysing coastal data and numerical modelling?
We have a position for a Coastal Processes Science Officer to develop knowledge outputs for the Victorian Coastal Monitoring Program. The role will help determine trends in shoreline behaviour, coastal hazard impacts, and drivers of shoreline change across Victoria, to be used for decision making on coastal projects, policy and planning.
Experience in field-based coastal data collection, software coding (e.g., Python, Matlab) and hydro-morphodynamic numerical models (e.g., SWAN, XBeach), and proficiency with GIS software would be highly regarded.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months.
