Multiple opportunities are available, reflective of the magnitude of this economy boosting project. Lead + implement the contract management and administration function for respective construction works packages for the North East Link Project.

  • Negotiate + deliver consistent commercial approaches for Victoria's iconic infrastructure initiative
  • Lead a team, embedded within a specific works package 
  • Multiple positions available – 3 years' fixed term

About the opportunity
This role will operate from within a multi-disciplined project team aligned to a particular stage of delivery, leading the commercial function, guiding and advising senior stakeholders on issues relating to the procurement and delivery of contract packages. Maintaining consistency in the advice, approaches and practices delivered across all contract packages in addition to the preparation and delivery of formal plans, progress reports and other key documentation will require this role to be an astute communicator, collaborator and influencer.

The position will lead negotiations in relation to commercial issues, prepare detailed analysis and advice on complex commercial matters, relevant government policies and legislation and identify and manage any interface or impact that stakeholder agreements have in relation to the NELP major construction work packages. 

Essential skills include;

  • a comprehensive understanding of relevant government policies, requirements and legislation that apply to a large-scale, infrastructure projects,
  • proven commercial and contract management experience working on major projects with a range of procurement models and delivery methodologies and ability to develop and deliver complex written documentation and recommendations,
  • communication skills that build trust, elicits information, gains buy in, influences and supports a culture of accountability and clarity, and;
  • an encouraging, empowering leadership style and a pragmatic approach that sees you persist in achieving organisational wide outcomes.

Travel and time spent at a future site office (Bulleen, Heidelberg or Watsonia) will be requirement of this position.
