Reporting to the Manager Advertising and Campaigns, the Communications Advisor (Advertising and Campaigns) is responsible for working as part of a team to deliver key advertising campaigns to support the department's response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as well as key campaigns across the Department of Health.

The Communications Advisor (Advertising and Campaigns) will be experienced in the design and delivery of advertising campaigns. You will work with your team to brief, develop, test and evaluate campaigns across health in support of our key COVID-19 and Health initiatives. 

The role will support key campaign outcomes by working closely with internal stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate integrated communications and campaign plans, media buying and projects in line with the department's strategic priorities.  

As appropriate, they may also be required to:

  • Deliver priority campaigns for the department outside the direct response to COVID-19 pandemic
  • provide support to other teams across the Branch as and when required, including participating in out of hours media and emergency rosters, providing support for public emergencies, large-scale communications campaigns
  • other high priority projects, to contribute the effective management of work across the Communications and Media Branch and department.
