About us

Funds in Court (FIC) is a self-funded division of the Supreme Court of Victoria, managing funds paid into Court, primarily for people under a legal disability (beneficiaries). All funds are held, invested and administered by the Associate Judge of the Court who is the Senior Master. FIC serves over 6,000 beneficiaries.

As the Communications and Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for providing expertise and technical knowledge in: strategic communications, internal communications, online communications, events and engagement, graphic design and content development.

This lead role is a new, high level position that will be a member of the General Manager's Office, offering advise to the General Manager, Corporate Counsel and Managers.

About the role

  • Develop, implement, and review communications strategies, plans and initiatives of the Office's communications channels
  • Oversee and maintain office publications for internal and external audiences – including people with disabilities, and those from a culturally and linguistically diverse background
  • Lead and support stakeholder engagement
  • Support functional areas in their external communications
  • Produce high-quality, accurate, timely communication materials within required deadlines
  • Over see day-to-day functions to produce better quality outcomes
  • Deliver communications and engagement plans

About you

  • Experience in planning, developing and delivering the full spectrum of multi-media and communications activities 
  • Knowledge of accessible communications methods
  • Experience in undertaking evaluation of communication activities
  • Experience working in a high-level communications role
  • Experience providing specialist advice and support to internal key stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including developing communication content using different channels
  • Knowledge of modern technology
  • A relevant bachelor level or higher qualification in communications or a related field is highly regarded.
