About the team


Bendigo Health Mental Health Services is a complex service that provides psychiatric care and treatment across a large catchment area in Victoria stretching from Swan Hill in the north of the state to Gisborne in the south. Services are provided to a range of clients, including patients, families and carers, General Practitioners and other members of the broader mental health service system. A range of clinical services is provided to patients across all ages through dedicated programs.


 


About the position


The ETP-STTT Team is an integrated community mental health team which includes ECATT, MH Triage, PARC (Adult), PACER and Short Term Treatment Team Services. Under the direction of the Manager and team Psychiatrist(s), you will provide psychiatric triage, intake, assessment and treatment, psycho-education and support for patients of Psychiatric Services and their families /carer(s). The position is based in Bendigo and includes shift work on a day/evening /night roster, including weekends and public holidays as rostered. The successful applicant over time  can over time experience all these work areas.

About you


We are seeking an experienced and committed mental health professionals who can demonstrate the following:



  • Demonstrated experience and ability in community based psychiatric triage, assessment, support and treatment of people with a mental illness.

  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and Psychiatric Service Frameworks Procedures and Guidelines.

  • Proven ability to liaise and consult with relevant family members, team members and a broad range of health professionals and community agencies

  • High level of organisational, communication and interpersonal skill

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, and a willingness and ability to successfully undertake appropriate further education relevant to this role
