Community Mental Health Clinician

Outer Community - MWAMHS


  • Full Time ongoing position in a supportive team environment!
  • Gain experience in a broad range of community based psychiatric presentations
  • Based in Melton

The MWAMHS Outer Community mental health program consists of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for community mental health care of consumers living in the city of Melton

We provide a range of community, recovery focussed mental health services to consumers with mental illness and support to their families/ carers

Your new role:


  • Work collaboratively with other clinicians to provide treatment interventions for individuals who have a significant mental illness.
  • Provide and develop discipline specific interventions
  • Assess and provide evidence-based recovery interventions to consumers with various psychiatric illnesses
  • Coordinate medical, psychosocial and legal aspects of care delivery
  • Engage with consumers, their family members and other service providers
  • Deliver clear documentation of evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care

About you:

This is a multidisciplinary role and is open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists.

  • Motivated mental health clinician committed to continued learning and developing your clinical skills
  • Passion for caring and making a genuine difference in the lives of public mental health consumers and their family members
  • Enjoy being part of a dynamic team and draw on the experience of your colleagues yet are confident to work autonomously and contribute positively to the teams’ well-being
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form
  • You have the relevant registration with AHPRA for nursing, occupational therapy or clinical psychology. Social workers are eligible for membership with the AASW
