About the Role


We welcome late stage senior registrars, awaiting fellowship within the next 2 months, to apply.


Opportunities exist for Consultant Psychiatrists to provide clinical service to existing positions at Adult Psychiatry Services at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. The positions support and assist the Unit Head, Adult Psychiatry in the provision of high-quality psychiatric services to adults aged 18 - 65 years at Monash Health - Clayton site, consistent with Monash Health values, in the following areas:



  • Southern Community Mental Health Service (CCT), Hampton East, VIC - permanent part time, ongoing (0.4 EFT)

  • Community Care Unit (CCU), East Bentleigh, VIC - permanent part time, ongoing (0.4 EFT)

  • Mobile Support and Treatment Service (MSTS), Clayton, VIC - fixed term part time (0.5 EFT), end date: 07/11/2020 (Long service leave cover)

Selection Criteria


Listed below are essential requirements for these positions. In addition, participation in after-hours duty & ECT rosters are essential to these roles as well.



  • A Current registration with AHPRA

  • A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent

  • A valid Working With Children (WWC) Check (Employee version)

  • Current drivers license

  • ECT credentialing (if not credentialed, you will need to complete training once you have commenced with Monash Health)
