About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Consultant Psychiatrist to cover a limited tenure role at Eastern Health providing clinical leadership within Mental Health Program Community Teams.

The Consultant Psychiatrist is responsible for providing leadership, development, implementation and delivery of mental health care for consumers

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Registered with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the RANZCP


• Tertiary qualifications as evidenced by Fellowship of the appropriate professional college e.g. FRANZCP or equivalent


• Demonstrate understanding of mental health legislation and statutory requirements


• Demonstrated experience and competence in teaching and education in clinical psychiatry and supervision of clinical practice.


• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience


• A strong commitment to high-quality care


• The ability to work as part of a diverse team


• Excellent communication and organisational skills
