About Monash Health Breast Services and Monash BreastScreen
Monash BreastScreen is the largest Reading and Assessment Service (RAS) in Victoria. It provides
Breast Cancer screening, reading and assessment services for approximately 60,500 women per year in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. The RAS is located at Moorabbin Hospital. There are seven fixed screening sites plus a mobile screening service that visits 2 locations in the catchment. Each year approximately 3,000 women are recalled to the Assessment Clinic for further imaging and clinical assessment.
As part of Monash Breast Services, Monash BreastScreen is a key component of an integrated continuum of multidisciplinary care for women from screening and diagnosis through assessment of symptoms, diagnosis and management of breast cancer and benign breast disease.
About the Role
We are seeking a specialist radiologist experienced in Breast Imaging, in particular screening mammography, to undertake a weekly screen reading session at our Reading and Assessment Service at Moorabbin Hospital. See attached PD
The VMO radiologist will be responsible for:
- Reading the agreed number of screening mammograms in a timely way as rostered and completing the required electronic data entry as part of BreastScreen Victoria.
- Participating in quality review activities as indicated by the Clinical Director/Designated Radiologist for Monash BreastScreen, in particular as they relate to cancer detection rates, recall to assessment rates and activities designed to improve practice, including review of quarterly individual performance data.
- Undertaking regular performance appraisal to ensure participation meets the national accreditation standards of Breastscreen Australia
- Supporting and assisting the Clinical Director, Monash BreastScreen, Monash Health in the provision of high quality Breast Screening Services at Monash Health, consistent with the Monash Health values.

· Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
