The Content and Amplification Specialist will be responsible for social strategy and proactive content planning, along with hands-on sourcing, preparation and distribution of content across DJPR social and digital channels

The key accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality, accurate external communication materials within required timeframes, maintaining strict confidentiality and in line with DJPR's communication policies and processes.
  • Contribute to the social and digital content strategy, calendar and content pipeline for agreed portfolio areas (initially Rural and Regional Victoria Ministerial portfolios) to support DJPR priorities and objectives.
  • Provide communications content for day-to-day publishing - adapting format, tone and messaging across various channels.
  • Build networks and collaborate with stakeholders across and outside of DJPR to research and source engaging content opportunities. Provide authoritative and expert advice on newsworthy content, suitable formats and identify opportunities to amplify content reach.
  • Repurpose, generate and produce accurate, engaging and effective content for digital channels, including websites and social media, that maximises reach and drives engagement in line with best-practice multi-channel communications practices and strategies.
  • Contribute to the team's marketing initiatives, including but not limited to campaigns, collateral, sponsorships, digital presence and reporting.
  • Provide communications support during DEDJTR emergency response and all-emergencies campaigns as required.
