About the Judicial College of Victoria

The College exists to inform and enrich the Victorian judiciary. Everything we do, whether in-person or online, is designed to impart knowledge and insight. We support judges, magistrates, coroners and tribunal members to develop the skills they need to perform at their best.

About the Role

In an exciting period of transformation and growth, the Content Developer designs and develops high quality educational content for Victorian judicial officers, for delivery in a range of formats and mediums (including online, digital and in-person). They apply sophisticated research and professional writing skills to ensure content is accurate, effective, repeatable and polished.

Reporting to the Director Judicial Education, and with the judicial audience front of mind at all times, the Content Developer works collaboratively with a cross-functional team to ensure educational content, products and projects meet the needs of judicial officers and are delivered within agreed timeframes.

About the Content Developer 

The Content Developer has a background in the law or legal practice, education and/or the courts environment. They have advanced professional writing and editing skills, with demonstrated expertise in writing for expert audiences. A skilled communicator, the Content Developer has the proven ability to build effective professional relationships and influence others.

Drawing on an understanding of adult learning principles, the Content Developer is able to work with different subject matter to design educational content suitable for the desired learning outcomes. They have knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the Victorian judiciary and are familiar with developments in the law, skills, social context and contemporary issues relevant to courts and tribunals.

With a reputation for polished writing and an authentic interest in the important role of education, they are perfectly suited to join the Judicial College of Victoria.
