POSITION SUMMARY:

As part of the Child Protection Leadership team, the Principal Practitioner must possess the qualifications, skills and experience to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families, particularly in high risk, high profile, complex and sensitive cases. This will be achieved through strengthening the skills, knowledge and capabilities of child protection practitioners and leading a child focussed family centred practice culture with an emphasis on collaborative approaches with families and service providers.

Pivotal to your success in this challenging yet fulfilling role, the ideal candidate must possess demonstrable skills in the following key areas;

  • Highly developed collaboration, communication and engagement skills with the ability to forge relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Leadership capability and demonstrated experience in promoting exceptional practice and risk assessment through modelling mentoring, coaching and supervision at an expert level.
