We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Melbourne Health Bank team as a Casual Critical Care Registered Nurse. This is a Casual position, based at our City campus.



Melbourne Health Bank, provides flexibility and a vast range of clinical speciality areas and a supportive culture. Shifts are managed by Melbourne Health Bank and allocated according to organisational need and your nursing experience.



Casual Critical Care Registered Nurse work under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager and liaise with Melbourne Health Bank staff, Nursing Education, MH Multidisciplinary Teams, Parkville Precinct Partners, consumers and carers of consumers.



As a Casual Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:




  • Clinical Governance; providing patients and the community safe, timely, effective, person-centred health care (STEP) 

  • Maintaining a high standard of care; demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills relevant to your level of expertise 

  • Delivering patient centred care; providing high quality of patient care by performing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with the patient, carer and the  multidisciplinary team

  • Maintaining health and safety standards; managing risk and actively working towards implementing risk reduction strategies

  • Speaking up for Safety; raising concerns about safety in a respectful manner


About You 


Formal Qualifications:



  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery  Board of Australia

  • Post Graduate Qualification in a nursing specialty (i.e. ICU, ED, PACU, CCU, Surgical/Medical) 


Essential:



  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a registered nurse in an acute hospital setting

  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team

  • Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care

  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills

  • High motivation and willingness to learn

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High level of reliability and professional conduct
