In support of the growing needs of the community, our three Intensive Care Units at Monash Medical Centre Clayton, Dandenong hospital and Casey Hospital provides Victorians across the South East, with faster access to critical care and highly skilled staff when they need it most.

No two days will be the same, and our Adult Intensive Care Units work uniquely while collaborating with other critical care areas and teams across all sites as one Program.

  • Monash Adult ICU is a 25 bed tertiary referral centre. We specialise in Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, neurology, obstetrics, general medicine and surgery. We have over 1900 admissions per year and 600 of these are elective surgery and 1300 unplanned/emergency admissions. 
  • Dandenong hospital ICU is a 14 bed unit specialising  in Colorectal, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Vascular and General Medicine patients
  • Casey Hospital is a 12 bed general Medical/Surgical unit specialising in Urology, Obstetrics and post-operative surgical care.
  • VHH is a 16 bed Cardiothoracic care and a nurse lead ECMO service providing excellence in care to complex cardiac patients.

We also have opportunity to experience the new Cardiac ICU at our Victorian Heart Hospital should you wish to experience our new decicated heart hospital.

We are seeking suitably qualified nurses who are passionate about, and have demonstrated experience in ICU to become a valuable part of our critical care team.  Yours is a pivotal front-line role providing care within a dynamic fast paced setting.  You are committed to providing evidence based, patient and family centred care and you are motivated to seek all opportunities to further upskill and master your ICU expertise.

These are Ongoing Full or Part Time positions with availability to work across 24/7 rotational shifts.

What you bring

  • Postgraduate Qualification in Critical Care is highly regarded
  • ICU Transition to Speciality Practice as a minimum
  • Current clinical experience 
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Ability to work legally in Australia
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
