About the role

The Cardiovascular Unit in Ballarat opened in 2012 providing interventional radiology and cardiology procedures Monday to Friday plus emergency on call 24/7.  The service is continually expanding and requires a dedicated evidence-based pre-admission workforce to ensure quality patient outcomes.  Successful applicants will responsible for coordination, triage and pre-admission screening for all elective referrals.  They will provide patient and carer education including discharge planning by working collaboratively with a broad range of health care professionals both internal and external to Grampians Health Services.

the successful applicant (s) will be excellent communicators with demonstratable competence in the following;

Skills and Experience

  • Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current practicing certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years acute nursing experience with 2 years clinical experience as a scout/scrub during Cardiac Catheterisation procedures
