About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join the analytics team at Eastern Health. This role will play a key support role in delivering Analytics Services to the organization. This is a great time to join the growing team as the organization embarks on its journey to significantly uplift its data and analytics capability.

The role will:

  • Develop reports using MS Visual Studio (SSRS), SSMS, and MS Excel that present data in an accurate, clear, and informative manner.
  • Write SQL queries to extract data from various databases and create stored procedures.
  • Monitor data request forms/ online requests and engage with internal customers.
  • Work with key stakeholders to assist them in identifying and understanding their key information needs and how the unit can assist in addressing those needs.
  • Analyse patient activity and other relevant data to assist in the decision-making and process improvement initiatives of Eastern Health staff.
  • Ensure that the data delivered is accurate and useful for its intended purpose.

About You

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 2 years experience in a data analyst role
  • Experience using Visual Studio (SSRS) for Report Development
  • Data analysis skills including assessment of trends and the identification of issues requiring investigation.
  • Training and/or experience using MS SQL language.
  • Evidence of problem-solving skills and lateral thinking
  • Prioritization, time management, and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work effectively both as an individual and in a team environment.
