About the Role

The Clinical Data Coordinator is a Grade 3A Registered Nurse position which provides effective and efficient data acquisition, management and education in the Monash Critical care services. This permanent full time position has responsibility for collecting and inputting clinical database(s) in the intensive care units and provides timely and accurate data reports to assist in the operations of the Intensive Care, to fulfil the unit’s statutory reporting duties and for research purposes. ANZICs data reporting and submissions are effectively managed with all agreed timelines met.

As Data Clinical Coordinator in the Intensive Care Units you possess and use excellent data management skills. You work closely with the ICU teams and liaise with Monash Health Business Intelligence. Your role includes:

  • data acquisition and education of staff to improve the integrity of the data

  • data quality assurance and data audit

  • Management of clinical database(s) in the Adult ICUs

  • Ensuring the effective application of policies and procedures relating to data handling, management and storage

  • Preparation and submission of statutory data reports (e.g. ANZICS and ANZPICR data submission)

  • Preparation of regular data reports to the Service Director of AICUs, or relevant Director ICU

  • Preparation of regular data reports for Quality Assurance, Performance, Morbidity and Mortality

About You

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated Critical Care experience; with a Post Grad in Critical Care. Your demonstrated experience within an ICU environment will see you succeed in this position.

What you need:

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Critical care certificate is essential

  • Experience in intensive care and/or paediatric intensive care.

  • Australian working Rights 

  • Current Employee Working with Children Check
