Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting full-time, fixed-term opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Data Manager to join our Molecular Imaging & Therapy department covering 12 months maternity leave.

The Department of Molecular Imaging and Therapy is one of the largest academic Departments in Australia, and has comprehensive clinical service activities, as well as an internationally renowned research program. The Department has four core clinical service components: Nuclear Medicine imaging, Radionuclide Therapy, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Bone Densitometry. The Department also produces radioisotopes on site with in-house Cyclotrons and radiochemistry and QC laboratories, and undertakes a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic examinations and research studies.

The Department of Molecular Imaging and Therapy Data Manager provides assistance to the Medical and Scientific Director with administration and conducting of research activities and the management of research data. The Data Manager is responsible for:

  • Clinical Trials data management including

    • Collection

    • Monitoring

    • Communication

    • Reporting

    • Archiving

  • Varied and ad hoc research administration duties

  • Assisting the Medical and Scientific Director with research documentation (submissions, proposals, periodic reporting requirements)

  • Involvement in research protocol study procedures

  • Assisting the MIT Business Manager with costings and pricing for Molecular Imaging research requests

  • Providing the MIT Business Manager with clinical trial information to facilitate invoicing
