Position Summary: 

  • Oversight of all data capture and data entry staff activities performed by Surveillance Officers in the Informatics team.
  • Ensuring data entry occurs in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensuring processes and systems are working and effective

Responsibilities: 

  • Communicate surveillance reports and advice to DIME functional leads as required.
  • Communicating major changes to data entry and reminders regarding data quality.
  • Monitor the related Informatics email inboxes (including Publichealth.DIME.Informatics, or others as systems change) inboxes for regular filing and triaging of queries and notifications relating to the use of CRM for COVID-19.
  • Monitoring of key CRM Workflows relating to COVID-19 data quality.
  • Provide feedback for updates to process documents and Quick Entry Guides as required.
  • Reporting to the Informatics Senior Data Managers, identify and escalate CRM issues or COVID-19 data entry issues.
  • Work closely with other members of the DIME team as well as the CCOM team to identify and resolve issues relating to data entry and quality in CRM to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Attend Data Manager Team meetings to collaborate on process improvements and problem solve any issues that arise.
  • Data Quality checks and audits of COVID-19 events on CRM.
  • Provide quality assurance on data collation and input to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Drive ongoing improvements to data quality processes in Informatics, the broader DIME team and CCOM (where possible)
