About the role
GV Health has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Chief Medical Imaging Technologist with strong clinical skills seeking to take the next step in their career. The role provides the opportunity to build upon their clinical expertise using these to inform their development as they build the financial management, operational and strategic skills that are necessary for managing a department as a Chief MIT or Operations Manager. The Deputy Chief MIT will assist the Chief MIT in managing and responding to operational and clinical risks, drafting business cases for budget approval, recruitment, employee management and maintenance and expansion of clinical service delivery.
The department is equipped with a new two CT scanners, three x-ray rooms, mammography, six ultrasound units, fluorosocopy and MRI. The appointee will have leadership of the day-to-day management of staffing, supported by the roster coordinator and will have responsibility for PACS Administration and will work alongside the Chief MIT to further develop their non-clinical skills.
