About the role

The Deputy Secretary, Policy Precincts and Innovation will drive future transport and precinct opportunities through innovative technology, legislative and policy reform, and a focus on embedding a deep understanding of Victoria's transport system users. Part of the DoT leadership team, the Deputy Secretary is empowered with responsibility for Ministerial and stakeholder relations, alongside providing high-level organisational leadership and advice. Working collaboratively with the DoT's senior leadership team, the Deputy Secretary supports the government's transport agenda through the leadership of several key pillars, including commercial strategy, policy and regulatory reform, integrated transport, precinct and interface planning, road safety and freight.

About you

A pragmatic leader, you are known for your navigation, nuanced analysis, people leadership and ability to get things done in constantly changing environments. Highly familiar with government, your draw from broad experience ideally gained in transport, infrastructure or similar complex asset or investment-intensive settings. Your ability to understand and effectively persuade on matters of technical policy, projects, and transformation have supported your continued career success. A trusted adviser working to multiple governance lines, you empower others and collaborate widely to find innovative solutions that put end users first. You are resilient and a strategic thinker, motivated by creating broad impact through your ability to achieve immediate results.
