About the Nutrition and Dietetics Department
Our department is a vibrant and fast-paced environment with a team of 42 staff (34 EFT) across three sites. We function as one department and work in a supportive and friendly environment. We provide service to inpatients, outpatients and home/community programs, spanning acute care, sub-acute care and rehabilitation.
Our Dietitians are experts in medical nutrition therapy across a range of clinical specialties and are organised into clinical streams: specialist medicine, ICU/surgical/gastro, oncology, paediatrics and mental health, sub-acute & rehab. Other key activities include staff education and development, student training, quality improvement, research and food service.
Details of position
The position is based on the acute site (Austin campus) and is part of our Cancer stream which includes services to radiotherapy, medical oncology, haematology, day oncology and palliative care. The clinical workload allocation for this position is primarily haematology (including bone marrow transplant) and ambulatory cancer services including radiotherapy and day oncology. Workload allocation may vary according to operational needs.
