The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) is an independent statutory authority responsible for preparing and conducting criminal prosecutions in Victoria on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Matters prosecuted by the DPP and the OPP involve serious crimes or matters that are of significance to the fair and effective operation of the Victorian criminal justice system. The OPP consists of the Solicitor for Public Prosecutions and a staff of approximately 465 providing legal and corporate support to the DPP, the Chief Crown Prosecutor and Crown Prosecutors in the exercise of their independent roles in the criminal justice system.

Digital Operations & Technology Manager (Fixed Term, Full Time up to 3 years)

The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) has an exciting opportunity to join our Melbourne office as a Digital Operations & Technology Manager.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Services, the Digital Operations & Technology Manager will provide expert advice, guidance, management and leadership across all aspects of the OPP's software applications, technology infrastructure, and is responsible for technology project delivery and working with the Executive Team in the delivery of technology components of the OPP's Strategic Plan.

About the Role

• Manage the support and maintenance of all business applications and environments, ensuring the provision of all digital services with a focus on service excellence.
• Deliver a high quality range of outputs in relation to digital operations , technology  strategy and planning and quality, security and procurement matters.
• Drive innovative approaches to ensure the OPP's  applications and infrastructure and services are delivered in a timely, efficient and effective manner to internal and external customers to enable them to meet their business objectives and obligations.
• Lead the implementation of a range of improvement initiatives in line with the OPP's strategic priorities and digital and technology best practice.
• Introduce, operate, and maintain processes and tools to ensure the accuracy, integrity and security of data, systems, and equipment (including disaster recovery, business continuity, cyber security, and risk).
• Understand and actively apply all OPP people policies, including the VPS Code of Conduct, Health Safety and Wellbeing, Performance Management and the Managing Misconduct policies.

As our ideal candidate you will have:

• Senior leadership and management experience in delivering digital applications and technology infrastructure and services in a changing and complex environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a team of technology professionals, with a track record in effectively developing and motivating staff to deliver outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to translate organisational strategy into meaningful objectives and motivate others to deliver against goals.
• Demonstrated experience in providing a customer centric service model with user experience and change management approaches at the forefront of service provision.
• Highly developed communication, liaison and presentation skills and experience to build productive stakeholder relationships.
