POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Communications and engagement is responsible for leading and managing communications and engagement activities to support the work of Homes Victoria. The role provides key advice and support to the Minister for Housing, the CEO Homes Victoria, the Executive Management Team and key stakeholders on high-level communications and engagement matters.

As part of the leadership of the Communications and Engagement team, you will lead a team to plan, implement, evaluate and optimise the performance of the overall team in the following ways:

Are you:

  • Experienced at providing high-level authoritative advice on communications and engagement issues, particularly in an infrastructure or construction environment?
  • Develop and implement processes and tools which support the productivity and effectiveness of the Communications and Engagement team.
  • Help set the direction and priorities for the communications and engagement team and ensure compliance with deadlines, stakeholder expectations and performance against objectives of key activities.
  • Influence, negotiate and oversee the utilisation of communications and engagement resources to ensure the performance of the branch meets the expectations of key leadership stakeholders and the Minister for Housing.
  • Manage financial resources within allocation and contribute to departmental budget planning processes.

Effectively manage and provide leadership to a team of employees by: leading and supporting individuals to achieve their potential while maximising their contribution to achieve their goals and outcomes.
