Director of Finance & Corporate Services

Fixed Term Full Time or Part Time – Up 80 hours per fortnight

Classification: Manager Grade 9 (HS9).  

Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and values-based financial leader, looking for a short term contract at MDHS! This position is available to commence ASAP until 7th August 2022.

As the Director, you will be responsible for providing financial support and sound business acumen to enable the organisation to fulfil its role within the community. This includes a strategic approach to business operations including business planning, budget preparation and financial reporting for the whole of the organisation.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications / Experience

  1. CPA/CA qualification or equivalent
  2. Proven experience in a senior leadership role
  3. Experience in managing and providing leadership to a multi-disciplinary team in a public sector, community and/or health services environment

Specialist Expertise

  1. Demonstrated understanding of Casemix and aged care funding
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement a broad range of contemporary financial management strategies, programs, policies and operational practices to successfully support the strategic objectives of the business
  3. Demonstrated ability to analyse data and identify and respond to risks, opportunities and issues
  4. Relevant experience in the use of financial information management systems and demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite
  5. Demonstrated experience in managing procurement activities in a health services environment

Personal Qualities

  1. A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  2. Well-developed organisational skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, set priorities and deliver on agreed outcomes within specific timeframes
  3. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to improve others' skills and talents by providing constructive feedback, coaching and training opportunities
