We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.


 


Your Opportunity:




The Director of Informatics Planning has key responsibility for:





  • Consult with RMH stakeholders including RMH Executive, Health Intelligence, IT and EMR to understand the current data and analytics technology and capability.

  • Identify opportunities for the advancement of data and analytics capability at RMH.

  • Work with RMH Executive and other key stakeholders to establish the goals for data analytics and informatics at RMH addressing technology (software and hardware), workforce, governance, tools and processes.

  • Be responsible for the development of RMHs three year Data Analytics plan.

  • Analyse the business needs and strategic requirements relating to the Command Centre.

  • Engage key operational and clinical subject matter experts to understand the ongoing operational support required for the Command Centre.

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for system redesign and development.

  • Build relationships through liaising with stakeholders, software developers, vendors, and RMH technology teams to clarify requirements and design solutions.

  • Determine EMR enhancement/build requirements to accommodate technical integration of the Command Centre solution.

  • Determine Health Intelligence requirements and build to support the Command Centre solution.

  • Complete a market scan of available vendors and solutions, including liaising with other health services utilising Command Centre solutions to gather lessons learned.


About You:



  • Highly respected across your peer group.

  • Outstanding communicator both verbal and written – with an ability to successfully convey complicated topics. 

  • Ability to foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong formal writing skills.

  • Be able to understand and translate technical information.

  • Project management experience, ideally in a healthcare setting or with relevant experience in strategic or business planning, change management or risk management.
