Waranga Health, located in Rushworth, is a 36-bed aged-care facility, inclusive of a four-bed acute care unit, a district nursing service, outpatient ambulatory consulting services and a dedicated palliative care suite and respite bed. Care and treatment are provided 24 hours a day by a talented multidisciplinary team across a range of medical, nursing and allied health services.

About the role
The Director of Nursing / Manager is responsible for the management of acute, residential aged care and district nursing services at Waranga Health. The portfolio also includes management of the administrative services, hotel support and maintenance services, and the Community Health Coordinatory. In this strategic leadership position, the Director of Nursing / Manager is responsible for providing efficient and effective management of the portfolio to ensure continual performance monitoring and quality improvement in the delivery of high-quality and safe patient care. It is the responsibility of the Director of Nursing / Manager to ensure that accreditation, standards and legislative requirements are achieved. The Director of Nursing / Manager reports to the Divisional Operations Director Subacute and Ambulatory Care, and works closely with local General Practitioners and Pharmacists, and the Community Reference Group.
